We have been so busy around here getting ready to put our house on the market that I am way behind on my entries.
Malena is quite the little girl now. She gets into EVERYTHING. She is fascinated by anything made out of metal...the springs on her crib legs, drawer pulls, zippers, sunglasses, etc. She is still crawling like a little centipede, but she is much faster now. I don't know what the deal is with her teeth, but she's only had the bottom front two now for 2 months. Don't see anymore coming in! What if she is like that forever?!
She is starting to giggle and laugh more. The other day I was fluffing the pillows on the sofa and she just couldn't stop laughing. It was so adorable! T.J. said she was doing the same thing while playing with the springy doorstop. That little laugh is something else!
My dad (Paw Paw Cookie) has been here since Friday, and we've had him slaving away on small projects around the house. It is really neat to watch him interacting with Mimi. She thinks he is funny, and she loves playing with his moustache. When he is around her, I keep repeating "Paw Paw," and she says "pa pa pa pa pa."
Yesterday, I took Dad and Mimi to Huntington Gardens. She was a little stinker almost the whole time...and on my birthday at that! At one point we were inside the art gallery, where it was very quiet. All of a sudden she let out a HUGE burp and it echoed around the whole building. Then she did it again. It was embarrassing, but really cute when she laughed at the sound of it!Comments:Add a comment:

I think this family thrives on chaos or something. It just seems like it has been constant change during the past 3 years. The latest stress is that we are MOVING! We are leaving our beautiful home that we adore and heading for the suburbs. I guess that's the thing to do when you have babies. Our new house will be in La Canada Flintridge, which is a town near Pasadena, at the very northern most edge of Los Angeles County.
