I'm so proud of my little girl.
Last night she sang the entire song of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" unprompted and all by herself.
This morning I was awakened by a crazy, screaming husband and a naked baby yelling for me to check out Malena's potty. She peed in it for the first time! I gave her a Jiminy Cricket sticker as a reward.Comments:Add a comment:

Yesterday was Malena's 18-month check-up. I'm a little late, considering today she is 19 months old. Here are her stats:
Height: 32 3/4"
Weight: 27 lbs. 5 oz.
Head circ.: 18 3/4"
She is 75% in everything, and the doctor said she is beautiful and very proportional.
A couple weeks ago we had a scary moment. Malena nearly bit through her tongue! She tripped over a chair while she was at daycare and bit her tongue very badly. It was disgusting. The doctor said she didn't need stitches unless it was falling off. He was right...it healed amazingly fast. He said everything in the mouth heals quickly. Thank God!
T.J. and I just returned from our second babymoon in Maui, Hawaii. It was so wonderful. T.J.'s parents flew out from Cleveland to watch Mimi so we could spend 6 glorious days (5 nights) alone in Maui. I can't thank them enough. They are now recovering for 4 days in Palm Springs as our little one clearly wore them out!
T.J. and I spent our mornings snorkeling and our afternoons lazing around the beach or pool. It was perfect. Except that I am pregnant and can't have those yummy fruity drinks. I did finally have a virgin pina colada at the airport on the way home.
It was such a warm, wonderful feeling sneaking into Malena's room at midnight when we finally returned home. I couldn't believe how much her hair had grown in just a week.
When she woke up in the morning, T.J. and I both went in there to see her. She had a very confused look on her face, and she said, "Daddy?" Daddy is her favorite.
She even seems to speak better in just a week's time. She seems bigger. It is amazing how things change in only a few days!!!Comments:Add a comment:
